for all web design and developer folks, please check out my latest online creation/tool
I thought you might like to try out my new tool to make our lives a little easier...
http://dvia.com/buttonMaker

It let's you quickly, and easily create great looking buttons, using no images, or plugins (e.g. FLASH) by moving a few sliders around =)

Even though I just put it online last weekend, it is already #1 in google when searching for "CSS3 Button Maker" and has made the FRESH list at tripwire...
http://www.tripwiremagazine.com/2010/04/150-need-to-check-out-fresh-articles-for-designers-and-developers.html

I am very excited about this new tool, and I am planing on adding a few more features to hopefully make it even easier to use and more useful for folks.

Check it out, pass it around, and let me know what you think, good and bad, as I would love to hear what you have to say, as that will only help me make it even better.

:hi:

BTW: Unfortunately only modern browsers supported, so IE won't work. (However, MS next browser is promising to support CSS3 and HTML5 - wooHoo!)

6. Very nice!
One thing that would take it to a whole new level, and I don't know if it's even possible to integrate it, would be a "Kuler-style" color picker, where the user supplies the RGB / Hex value for a base color (or selects one) and complementary colors are suggested.

The only reason I even mention that is that while professional designers always take that step, novices mix and match some pretty horrendous color combos. Your default B&W button that comes up on the page is obviously very tasteful, but when people start picking their own colors, well...you know.

:-)

Or you could also link to Kuler (http://kuler.adobe.com/) and have it pop up in a new window / tab.

Kudos on a job well done!

8. thank you! and I love your kuler idea
I will definitely look into that, and if it is possible technically to directly embed it into my app i will do it (or at least link to it), as that is a great tool, and like you said, very helpful for novices.

thank you for your feed back and kind words Amerigo Vespucci, they are much appreciated :toast:

9. I added some new features to the CSS 3 Button Maker =)
Edited on Sat Apr-03-10 03:25 PM by ShamelessHussy
Now you can reorder the controls on the right.. and I am starting to output the style rules under each control (still got a few more to update), and now if you click on the button, I will display all the styles used (however there are some cross browser issues i still need to work on)

I plan to keep out there as a free service as long as I am still running a web site, so hopefully you will be able to make use of it one day.
