Took Erin to the vet yesterday.
My new kitten, Erin.

Erin is perfectly healthy, going to be just fine.

But the vet gave me a surprise.
Erin is a MALE! :wow:

The person who gave me Erin said Erin was female, but she goofed.

Understandable, at his age it isn't easy for non-vets to know the difference.

It's ok, I still :loveya: the little stinker.

1. So it's Aaron then?
:D

Eh, there's a guy on one of the sports radio stations named Erin, so I guess it applies as a unisex name.

4. Um, you didn't know?
It's pretty easy to tell the difference. As my father told me once a long time ago, one has a colon, and the other has an exclamation point.

7. It's okay
Erin is one name for Ireland - he could still represent Ireland rather than it just being a traditionally female name.

ERIN GO BRAGH!!

I don't want Erin to go "bragh."

Ever step in cat vomit? :-)

11. There you go!
Also, if girls can be named Michael, why can't an adorable boy kitty be named Erin?

12. I got fooled once myself
but in my justification, the cat in question was neutered - and he fooled the vet at first, too. It took some time before the vet actually got through all the fur and fat and figured out that our "pregnant" stray kitty was just enormously fat!

I was most chagrined, but he did have an empty scrotum, so it wasn't as obvious as it normally would have been.

That happened to me, too.

I thought Male was a boy.

I took her to be fixed, and imagine my surprise when the vet called me with the news: not only was she a girl, but she was in heat, too.

I had to pay extra because of that :(
