1. IIRC, doesn't Gray appear in one of the earlier Bond films as a fellow British agent?
maybe I'm hallucinating.

2. Savalas, for what it's worth
None of the Blofelds lived up to the nebulous mastermind of FRWL and Thunderball, but at least Savalas was a guy who could get things done. In other words, he wasn't a dwarfish boob or an effete.

If you ask me, Dr. No should have been No. 1.

4. Charles Gray cross-dressed as Blofeld.

Which is funny, considering he was one of the few not to cross-dress in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Savalas wasn't that bad as Blofeld, but his New York accent did kind of grate on me after a while.

I have to go with Pleasence. His Blofeld is a legend and sufficiently creepy. Although I would've preferred the faceless Blofeld for a bit longer than two movies.

Side note: if you look closely in From Russia With Love, you can see Blofeld has black hair.

If they ever bring back Blofeld for the rebooted Bond movies, I would definitely like to see this person play him:

5. You only live twice. Once when you are born, and once when you look death in the face.
I go with Pleasance. Overall, one of the better Bond films and maybe the best Bond book, imho.

6. I always found it a shame that this one was never given the role, he was SO evil:
