I have a story to tell, a story to tell.
Edited on Sun Mar-28-10 06:20 AM by RandomThoughts
Walking home from the bar, I got jumped by a couple kids 20 -30. Sucker punch, then three bashes with, get this, rocks, blocked by my arm. literally in the dark of night, I blocked flying rocks at point blank range.

Remember our rocks are love songs not violence :)

When the guys would not listen to reason, I went war cry, pretty cool sound, didn't know I had it in me, and they took off running.

Gash on arm, bruise on wrist, small cut from sucker punch, pretty interesting.

And it doesn't have anything to do with posting, or they would have easily had weapons or something, but wild night.

I will say, thank God, for the blocks with arm, would have sucked to have taken any of those blows where it might hurt.

I now have scars on both arms !

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Anyone else with a story to tell!!!!!

Awww, with love, I like this song, has a better feel.

1. I'm glad you are okay. And some women dig scars
Gives you that bad boy edge. :) Actually I don't know if that's true or not. Might be in a biker bar. I've got two scars over my upper lip from when I lost a battle with a semi trailer landing gear crank. I don't know if they've helped me with the women or not. :evilfrown:

2. Not sure if it helps with the ladies or not, but interesting perspective :)

Really happy that it didn't get ugly, a good resolution to stuff like that without having to be violent and be tempted to hurt someone is much better.

And thanks for the positive comment :)

3. This is not a metaphor, or an analogy,
In case anyone thinks that, since it could match some stuff, just in case anyone thought that.

5. the incident also served to show another thing.
Posting here for a couple years, I try to be mostly nice to people.

I get attacked and make it through in a interesting fashion, although maybe not a humble post.

And one person here posts a response. heh.

There is humor in that.

6. Hmm
RE the attack :any discernible motive, or were they just jackasses? Sounds like you came out alright.

8. Ouch!
I hope you have someone who can kiss all those bruises and make you feel better.

Was this around 3 AM? Lots of weird things happen around 3 AM.

11. Probably a bit earlier then that,
But was still 15 minute walk or so from house, when it happened, so probably got home around 3:00.

Lots of good people in life are nice, so there are many friends that are nice and such, plus there is always music :)

I went with this song for the help I believe I got in the situation.

Eric Clapton - Wonderful Tonight.

9. it's a scary story!
I was mugged one time long ago.

I didn't know until then how I would respond it someone physically attacked me. I found out I fought. it seemed like a long time but was probably not long at all. then I thought about what I was doing and they knocked me down.

strange thing was that I was on the phone trying to get into the bldg where I worked and the people I worked with heard the mugging.

10. I agree staying on your feet is important.

Especially when more then one opponent.

I didn't have anything to take, I threw them my empty wallet, not even ID in it, and offered them a bottle of water, but the aggressive guy just threatened to throw another rock, that's what got me upset, so just geared up, and they ran. I had one gift card in there, but cancelled that this morning, it still had full balance on it. Its really hard to steal money from me, especially since if I got it I share anyway. LOL.

But interesting.

I had lots of luck, I took a break on the walk for a few minutes half way home. Then when the thing happened a few blocks down the road I was rested. Its an uphill walk usually a bit more tired at that point in the walk, so everything worked for the best in the situation.

But it was trip of a situation. Something was looking out for me for sure.
