The cars I've owned:
Edited on Mon Mar-22-10 08:28 AM by MrScorpio
First car was a 1972 Ford Gran Torino. It was gold with a black landau top. It got me to and from work... Just barely.

The following year's model was the Starsky and Hutch special. I didn't get that one... because I got my Torino in 1979.

A year or so later, I started driving a 1974 AMC Gremlin.

It had a lot of get up and go... However, brunettes didn't come standard.

In 1983, I joined the Air Force. I left the Gremlin back in Detroit and picked up a 1976 Chevy Monte Carlo with swivel bucket seats in Texas.

It was something about those seats that made the ladies excited. Needless to say, I was very popular with the ladies.

In 1985, I drove the car to Detroit, while I was on my way to my next assignment in Korea. When I returned to the states two years later, the car wasn't drivable at all. So I left it there.

Next, I was on my way to DC.

While at the Pentagon, I bought a 1985 Ford Tempo.

It's got that special "Bleh", doesn't it?

That car lasted three years.. Including an attempt to self install a stereo system. It wasn't the greatest car in the world. It had me wondering if Ford had lost it's way.

I realized that Ford had indeed lost its way, when like a dumbass, brand new I bought a 1990 Tempo. Repair costs were a sumbitch.

I wanted a T-Bird but couldn't afford one. This turkey lasted me for twelve whole years... Including a stint in Germany, where I actually had the experience of tripping the speed governor a couple of times on the Autobahn... Nothing like having the engine SHUT DOWN while going at over 100 miles an hour to make you want to stay awake on the road.

While I was in Germany, I gave the Ford to Wifey and picked up this sweet cherry... A 1979 Mercedes-Benz 230c... Yumsters.

I loved that car... I drove it everywhere. I drove it until I was about to leave Germany, then I donated it to the hobby shop for parts. It was a happy parting indeed. (Don't I look like a happy camper? Of course I was, I was driving a BENZO, baby!)

When I got back to the states... I decided to go MOPAR.

So I got a 1999 Dodge Stratus. I still have it today.

I swear that this is one of the best cars ever made. Take tare of it and it'll take care of you.

When I finally dumped the Tempo for a next to nothing trade in, I got this 2003 Chrysler Sebring Ragtop

That was my second cherry... Until I couldn't afford the car note anymore. That parting was not sweet at all. I swear that one day I'll get another.

So, there you go... All my cars!

What's on your list?
