Why is it that when Pink Floyd made music videos they were always nightmare fuel?
I saw their video for 'Welcome to the Machine' for the first time last night. It's not so bad at first. The first minute or so it just focuses on this weird looking metallic creature. Then after the first verse the 'oh my god no' starts in full force.

Pink Floyd likes giving small children nightmares. That's the only possible conclusion I could come up with.
Watch it here, if you'd like to see the most horrifying looking rats ever:

I have to admit, parts of it are really cool.

1. The Wall came out when I was about nine and I kept bugging my mom to take me to a theater so I could
see it because I kept seeing trailers on TV and IT WAS A CARTOON SO OBVIOUSLY GOOD FOR KIDS, AMIRITE?

The wise woman that she is, Mom said HELL to the NO and I had to wait until I was old enough to rent it and watch it at a friend's house.

3. Good God, seriously.
The Wall and the Who's Tommy I think are excellent examples of the complete fuck-upedness and socio-economic scars WWII and the postwar period left on England.

7. This video's animation is VERY similar to the kind that's in the wall.
I wonder if they used the same people?

12. Supposedly it symbolizes the relationship between a recording company and a musician.
So...they didn't like their recording company much, apparently.

14. Yes..........
This video, the animated segments of The Wall movie, and the original album's artwork were done by British artist Gerald Scarfe.

15. But have you seen the videos from The Final Cut?
I'd say that they're some of the worst, most boring film ever shot. Incredibly lame.

19. My daughter saw "We don't need no education" for the first time at a Hard Rock Cafe.
She couldn't finish her burger after the meat-grinder scene, and still fears that song.

21. "That looks like a Pink Floyd visual" was the first thing I said when I saw the plane...
go into the WTC.
It looked like something designed by Hipgnosis.
