Besides... I know you pounded a nail into your countertop JUST so
you could make people think you're quite an eggspert.

12. That's a cool pic
I'm guessing one or three of those squished marbles is down in the can to give it a balance point. But it is still a really cool pic.

18. There was just the right amount of beer left in the can.
I don't know what that might be in teaspoons.

Just a happenstance.

7. I thought so too. Yeah, can do it other days,
but hate to admit, it got easier at the moment of sun crossing equator, then it got harder again.

Repeated experiment twice a year for five years. Everyone came to same conclusion. I still don't believe it, but it kept happening.

8. Self-fulfilling prophecy and the power of suggestion
Can always cover the margin of error. :-)

I wish I had enough balance just for myself, lol.

9. I dunno, ZW, we had a good mix of skeptics
and lots of tequila. We just all noticed the same thing, several years running.

11. I know. But I agree with havocmom that it does seem easier at this moment.
Besides, It'd be a bit like dragging a dead tree into your living room and draping it with a bunch of crap. In July.

Sure.

You could do it, I suppose.

But why would you?

14. I have worked at standing eggs at other times of the years, just as exeperiment
I can USUALLY finally get one to stand but never as quickly/easily as at equinox.

And that really pissed off my cynical nature. ;)

6. We had an equinox party one year
9 people and about 300 eggs all on end.... on the table, on the back yard wall, up the sidewalk, on the hood of a car. Neighbors were getting sorta spooked.

Good thing the party was at my sister's house

15. If you mess with it long enough the yolk sinks to the wide end.
Or not.
