4. Now you've done it.
I'm crying. And my two sweet Great Pyrenees (rescue) dogs came into the room the moment they heard Edie crying. They were very concerned for her, and didn't relax until the crying stopped.

7. You have two pyrs? I am so jealous.
I had one once, amazing dog. I got her from the pound by chance and had NO idea what kind of dog she was. She grew to be 100lbs of the most loyal protective ball of fluff I have ever known. They are truly wonderful dogs.

10. These ladies are my second pair of Pyrs.
When the older and wiser of them first realized they were"home safe," she rolled right over on her back and stretched out for a tummy rub. Little Edie did that in the video too, once she'd had her hug. It choked me up.
They are quite adoring, these dogs, more demonstrative than my first pair, who were beautiful and sweet but far more reserved. (They both died two years ago.)
These guys would crawl into our laps if our laps had room for them.
And they're very sweet with our half dozen house cats too.
Yes, I love Pyrs. If ever and whenever you decide to have another, be sure and check out online Pyr rescue sites.

5. Awwwww
I have a dog I rescued from a shelter. She was so thankful to get out of there that she bonded with me on the car ride afterwards (6 hour ride) and wouldn't be parted from me for the next three days. She still flops and whimpers when I get home from work, four years later.

Yay Bronwyne!

6. Our dog, Leo,
who has since crossed the Rainbow bridge, was a day from his time being up at the shelter when we got him. He turned out to be THE smartest dog either one of us has ever run across. He was an older dog, with a troubled past from what we could tell, when we got him. Once he realized he was in a safe, loving home, he blossomed into a wonderful dog. He had a very subtle way of protecting MamaRosa by quietly being between her and strangers, nothing menacing, just there. You only had to tell him no once about things, and he got the message.

Our current pound pup, Marty an Anatolian Shepherd mix is turning out to be a great dog as well.

Our experience is that pound pups make great dogs.

13. Crying like a baby here.
We must have done something really good to deserve dogs that will still love us when we do them so wrong.

14. Beautiful and more...
Mari333:hug:
Thank you for posting this...
I see that my doggie wasn't the only one...
She's heard dogs bark on TV before...and I took note of her reaction...nothing.
Yet she came to watch...as others did. She was troubled, needing attention.
She's also a rescue...pictured below, smiling....
I found it odd as Edie really didn't sound like a dog to me...eerie.
But dogs know.

I loved the wagging tail.
I cried...and a beautiful ending.

peace~

16. It's worth mentioning it takes a while to get to the "good" part
I had to stop watching this earlier today (mom of a rescue, my heart couldn't bear it) but watched it tonight in it's entirety. Wow. Yeah, there's some rain on my face.
