In other words, it's 8.8 micrometers long.

2. 1 meter is 39.37 inches...
1 millimeter is 0.03937 inches
1 micrometer is 0.00003937 inches

So this is 0.000346456 inches long. I have calipers at work that can measure ±.0005 inches. This is even smaller than the margin of error.

3. Well, it's short, but it's still longer than my attention span!
