Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mark Linkous has committed suicide, his publicist confirms to Rolling Stone. Mrs mitchum told me about it this morning. We were dumbfounded. Linkous was here for Vic Chesnutt's memorial in December and must have known the pain for those who remain. But suicide is not a rational act.
