mean people suck

I am not the nicest person in the world, but I do make sure to be extremely courteous in most situations. At work today, someone made an untrue comment that really hurt my feelings and no one said anything to defend me. This wasn't said to me directly and the people involved did not think I heard it, but I did hear it and this stupid, throwaway comment really makes me want to spend the rest of the day in the bathroom.

I know I am too sensitive. I always have been, but people should be more careful.

And it's good to be sensitive enough that cruelty gets in and hurts us, otherwise it would be too easy to lose our empathy.

I'm sorry this happened to you. Mean people totally suck. But you know what, you know there are nice people who think good things about you. And those are the ones that matter.

2. I'm sorry

you had your feelings hurt, try your best to shrug it off. This happens to my wife from time to time, the bathroom, and her car are her places to vent/unwind from the stress of work.

I usually tell her to shrug off what those #@$#(#$(#$*(full of swears) people have done, and continue being the battle axe. :)

Truly, I'm sorry you had to go through this, :hug: A lot of it reminds me of Junior High BS.

I prefer to expand the metaphor - simultaneously making it more powerful and out of the realm of obscenity.

5. I'm sooo ready for this day to end.

I went to a nearby Starbucks and cried in the bathroom. People are being so awful to me today and I have no idea why. I have never looked more forward to 5:00...I can go home and be alone with my cat - unless I piss her off too.

I feel like I am 4 years old again and completely alone. I don't know what it is about my presence that makes people loathe me so much.
