I claim my self-employment income, but some weeks (more than I care to think about), there is none. As of today, we're all on our own without even a life raft. 200,000 in Ohio alone. So, is this a test to see how long we can tread water while the sharks circle?

Just asking...

1. Bunning is making me reconsider my stance against torture
Waterboarding may yet have practical applications.

3. I'm almost afraid to ask what this is about....I'm still on my first extension
and still haven't found work around here. My benefits are scheduled to expire on June 5th, but I thought there was another extension out there ( tier 2, I believe it is called ) in case the situation is about the same come that time

7. I'm sorry....I'm a bit confused by this
Is another extension denied, or do I automatically lose benefits? Because my current benefits expire in June...and I file this Sunday

at least, what I gather from that is they are denying new claims or just another extension

sorry if I don't get it, I've had a long week

9. I'm not really sure but it sounds like
it's for those whose benefits are currently expiring.

10. I got a robo-call from the state of Ohio
telling me to continue to file claims even though I'm not going to get paid. Since you don't expire until June, I think you're okay. Keep filing your weekly claims and call your state office with questions.

I heard this yesterday on NPR and could not believe the callousness of this ass.

6. This is a classic Republican tactic
no matter the toll , no matter the suffering, if things go badly, the incumbents suffer at the polls.

It's a cynical calculation to regain power, and this sort of behavior is begging for a special bill and reconciliation.

11. Doesn't matter to him
that every single dollar spent in unemployment benefits goes right back in to the economy. Every single dime.

I don't know what I'm going to do.
