you are wrong if it comes in my yard.

Once your cat crosses the fence line, its fair game and my dog loves killing intruder cats for dinner.

Please, if you care about your cats at all, keep them in your own yard or in your house because the rest of the neighborhood isn't responsible for taking care of your cat or watching out for its well being or making sure it doesn't end up as a doggie dinner.

1. True and if a dog defecates in the neighbors yard no one will be able to protect it

I have a niece who literally boasted about not having to clean up after their dog because they taught him to go in the neighbors yard

2. A woman down the street from me
use to have her dog crap in the neighbors yards. I was use to cleaning it up in my back yard, but not the front. I put a stop to it by transferring the contents of my back yard to her front yard and sidewalk.

3. We had that situation once.

I tried talking to them about it. They got all crazy, called me a shitty uptight neighbor for not wanting their dog crapping in my yard on a daily basis.

The husband returned it to the neighbors yard by flinging it over the hedge with a shovel. (Not his fault if they have a pool on the other side of that hedge.) Problem solved. They put up a fence.

4. Good point....those do sound like sh*tty neighbors as well.
I wasn't boasting in the OP that I give dogs any more rights than cats. Definitely if a neighbors dog was sh*tting in my yard all the time I would call Animal Control on those people and they'll get a ticket. Usually a couple of $50 tickets for your dog pooping on the neighbors yard will be enough to finally take some control.

The cat thing is different because dogs naturally want to hunt foreign small animals in their territory so I can't have much sympathy for a neighbor who wants me to chain up my dog in my own yard just to protect their cat.
