Two guys who go around to places in the US and find pieces of meteorites either buried in the ground or laying on the surface. I saw an episode where in 2 days they picked up THOUSANDS of dollars worth of meteorite pieces from a dry lake bed in Nevada.
Very interesting show. They use a large metal detector that's homemade and towed behind a vehicle sometimes, and are usually looking in desert type terrain. I've found hundreds of sites on the intertubes teaching me how to build one.
North of the San Bernardino Mountains where I live is the "high desert" and it has HUNDREDS of dry lake beds, and is dry and arid. Perfect for finding meteorites from what I've read.
Starting this Spring, my wife and I are going to get rich finding little pieces (and hopefully BIG pieces) of meteorites that have fallen here over the last few thousand years.
Yee Haw!
