What can you cook well?
I can cook a kickarse breakfast, consisting of bacon, eggs, toast, and sausage. And that's pretty elaborate for me.

I'm not a great cook...not even a good cook, actually.

6. My seafood cakes rule!
I make them with salmon, tuna or crab, whatever's on hand.

Crab meat, egg, bread crumb, green onion, Old Bay, mayo hot sauce. Mix it up, make patties. Pan fry or bake. :9:9:9

Serve with roasted new potatoes tossed with olive oil and rosemary.

Seriously, the only Moussaka I've ever had that was better than mine was at Taverna Ireni on some dusty backroad outside of Chania, Crete.

18. Usually men do one meal or one dish period
And they get lavishly praised for it, while their wives or girlfriends who cook every other meal and dish get nothing but belches as thanks. There is no justice in this world.

That said, I make a mean couscous! ;)

19. I do it all!
i love spending the afternoon in the kitchen getting everything ready at the same time-main dish, a vegetable, startch and a salad. I like timing it so everything's ready at the same time. I don't do it for the praise, I just like to eat! And havving a couple glasses of wine while I cook doesn't exactly suck either.

24. Well, you're a rare male.
I have a friend who is also totally at home in the kitchen. And it's also because he loves to eat. But most men I know are at sea in there. I used to like preparing food when I was not married. I'd actually make fairly elaborate dinners for myself every other day. But since I've been married, and actually since my daughter was born, my wife has taken charge of our meals. I always say I will get back into it, but it hasn't happened yet. I actually used to make pretty good soups and stews, if I say so myself. Nice pasta sauces, too. All fresh vegetables. None of this Ragu shit! *sigh*

30. I am indeed a rare male.
In more ways that one. Actually, when I firstt got married I was a one dish kind of guy. But now I love it when the rest of the family is relaxing in the Living room on a Saturday or Sunday night and I'm working in the kitchen. I don't mind spending Sunday afternoon in the kitchen making meals for during the week--soups and chili and hat sort of stuff.

Last Saturday I made a shrimp and crafish etouffe that kicked ass!

It IS a total male juxtaposition of words. How about a cookbook titled "Kick ass quiche and other French culinary delights"?

20. Baking desserts
Cookies, cakes, you name it. I seem to have a good hand with dessert -- plus that KitchenAid mixer kicks ass.

I've also been told I make a mean meatloaf. But I can handle just about any recipe you throw at me.

25. I Am The Grill Chef
Charcoal grill, that is. The specialty of the house is grill baked potatoes, teriyaki salmon and asparagus. I have friends who will drive 40 miles for this meal!

I love cooking over charcoal; that's one reason why I love summer.
