Ya know, Anchor Steam is a damn fine beer!
From my hometown, SF, comes this bizarre creature - a lager beer fermented at ale temperatures. As a result, it has properties of both.

I end up taking this beer for granted, but damn if this isn't a fine beer that any town should be proud of.

1. You're making me thirsty, dammit!
No Anchor at home, though. Maybe next beer run.

2. Yes, it is.
I dare say it's one of the best beers brewed in this country, if not THE best.

5. Ya Know .. I am always
Proud of Anything that comes from my city of San Francisco..I even think the bottle is wonderfully designed.. pretty in fact. But..I have a hard time with the taste of a really dark beer. I have had dark beers, and liked them, but I could never really get used to Anchor Steam beer.

I guess I will always love Asahi..after all its just like my last name!

6. Do you like Yebisu?
I think it is the best Japanese beer easily available in the USA.

I am also a big fan of Tsingdao (Chinese), and Kirin. Sapporo isn't too bad. But for me, Asahi wa Ichiban! I love it best.

8. Yeah, it's a good beer -- not one of my regular favorites, but I'll have it from time to time
It's a good change of pace beer for me.
