Is there a name for that zig-zag walk people do when a cat doesn't get where we're going?

I'm trying not to step on the poor bugger's feet, being so much bigger and all.

But the dang thing gets right where my legs need to swing and I have to do this weird-ass diversion kind of walk.

Similar to hopscotch but a little more inconvenient.

If he were a driver, I'd be beeping cause he cuts me off every time I move.

Is there a name for that?

He is just not in synch with my attempt at linear travel.

8. I just stepped on a cat.
Silly thing was dancing around my feet and I accidentally stepped on her foot (I wasn't wearing shoes, fortunately).

"YAAAAHH!"

she said, glared at me and ran to the top of her cat tree. Now I suppose I have to console her with tuna.

9. "The Kittie Two-Step Shuffle"
We have one kitty that deliberately runs in front of your feet as you walk down the hallway; I think everyone in my house has bounced off those walls, lost their balance and hit the deck to keep from stepping on little Chloe.

The other kitties are pretty good about staying in front of, or to the side of us when we walk.

Except Thomas, when he is in a toe-biting mood.

11. You say that like YOU are in control
Cats being the superior beings they are do not give a rats ass about where you are going or why you are going there.
They are genetically engineered to run in front of you so they may impede your progress. In so doing, they FORCE you to give them food so you won't get tripped. It's extortion.

By the way, people from North Carolina drive like cats but don't expect food in return.....

18. The Kitty Slalom, we always called it;
I heard someone like Rich Hall come up with a Snigglet for the way a cat weaves in and out of your legs, but I can't remember it now.
