I see a change, but frankly, the biggest change has been in myself and my attitudes.

...but for the most part, I've never seen 100% mutual respect, 100% getting along, 100% so-called "appropriate behavior."

We tend to look back fondly on things that never happened, ya know? As far as my own attitude, I have to constantly bite my tongue and not respond to people who howl about how Obama hasn't "fixed" everything yet.

Yeah, I'd like a few less Wall Street cronies on his team, and yeah...the "change" thing was a marketing ploy, this man is working INSIDE a system that was set in stone before he was born.

But the alternative?

PRESIDENT McCAIN and VICE PRESIDENT PALIN?

Been here since 2003 and this place is as argumentative and entertaining as it ever was. I think membership has dropped off, though. It seems like the lounge used to move faster. Or maybe everyone decided to get all serious on us. I know I see a few ex-lounge lizards in GD quite a bit.

I miss some of the outrageous humor from a few that got terminated, but it's still good - seems to be evolving and there is still plenty of comic genius hanging (as well as newcomers).

Its been nice to see more variety in the posters that do venture into the lounge. It was a bit monopolized previously.

I haven't noticed all that much whining for the good old days, lately - now THAT gets tiresome.

but that may be just my perspective since it was all so new.


I do think people tend to jump on each other a bit more than is necessary now particularly in GD. Being a mod probably didn't help my view on that. :D
