Is Kevin EUBANKS' leaving LENO (easing out) a PORTENT?!1 I believe in portents!1

When Rick LAZIO tripped and fell in a parade, I *knew* he would lose and CLINTON would win as NY senator.

(I'll add other such "portents" when I remember them.)


So first Kevin was supposed to be totally gone from the LENO show. Then he wasn't totally gone, just doing "LESS"(?). Then the bottom line is that at some point he WILL be gone.

Really, after the totally unsuited (to a comedy show) Wynton MARSALIS left, Kevin was pretty much the best thing in LENO's schtick. With him gone, like, double yuck.

But, I don't get the "less" part. I mean, running/arranging the music angle must be heavy duty, but sitting on the stool and yukking it up with LENO isn't far more than "less".
