I got tombstoned! G-dammit all to heck!
turned 40 today, thought I could coast under the radar, snuck out of the office early for lunch when the staff usually pulls their hijinx.

Came home to a front yard full of black ribbons, black balloons and black tombstones with the usual Geritol and AARP comments all over the place.

*sigh* All I wanted was some sugar free red bull and some boffo 9/11 commission news.

turning 40 sucks

its my daughters b-day today also, so mine is ignored by mutual consent.

No, my office staff burned me bad.

7. when I turned 30 a friend of mine...
tied a blow-up doll in a see-through negligie (spelling?) to a pillar on my front porch.

My neighbors with kids were not amused due to the advanced physical characteristics of the doll...

6. Not a tombstone -- a *milestone*!!!
The Big 4-oh isn't all it's cracked up to be. Since we're all pretty much living longer these days, 40 is still youthful.

The 40s are a great dedade -- you're old enough to know better, but still young enough to do something about it.

Congratulations, and best wishes for a very Happy Birthday!

Cheers -- :toast:

8. No, turning 40 does not...the "s" word
Be happy, it's not the end of the world. You should be happy you have friends who care and went to all that trouble. You'll only make them feel bad if you act this way and you'll feel worse about it later on when you turn 100 and wonder what all the fuss was about. And when some youngster turns 40 and complains you'll be in your rocker and point a bony finger and say..."Why, back in my day....".

Happy Birthday!

My 40th totally sucked. Totally and completely. The worst birthday of my life. Birthdays suck in general. I @#$^@#$%#$ hate birthdays!

Not that I'm bitter or anything.

15. I do not understand why people get hysterical about birthdays
they don't bother me a bit. There are plenty of people who would have loved the privilege of growing old - like 580+ soldiers. *sniff*

Hey I tried that sugar-free Red Bull yesterday - it was good!
