I finished Battlestar Galactica today.
An appropriately epic ending for a very epic series. Well done Ron Moore and David Eick! Thanks for one hell of a ride!

3. Which one?
The good one from 1978, or the more recent crud-fest?

4. You have that the wrong way around.
The recent one is brilliance, the 1978 series was crap.

Or are you one of those who are pissed off because they made Starbuck a woman?

8. Boxey was in the miniseries and the first couple of episodes.
Ron Moore thought he was unnecessary. As for the Robot Dog, that was just way too silly. Besides, there was a real dog (and a cat) that played a minor role in the series later on.

6. You didn't find that is was pretty near fucking terrible from season 3 to the end?
Particularly that incredibly insulting finale?

The first two seasons were as brilliant as you can get. It went to complete shit from there, IMHO.

10. How does one get insulted by a tv series?
I enjoyed it to the end.

12. God from the Machine

All in all way too much mysticism and spiritual bullshit over the last couple of seasons. The inconsistency of the writers in figuring out where they wanted this to go led to a real shitty finale.

This blog post sums up some of the issues with the show in it's last couple of seasons and the finale.

13. Yeah, I was underwhelmed by the finale too.
But could see it coming. They took the easy "God done it" route. It had such potential too.

Oh well.

11. I loved it! It was amazing.
I can see why some didn't like the ending though.
