Poll question: Fans of American Idol
I have to be honest up front and state I have never watched a single episode of American Idol. I don't have cable TV.

But I am curious as hell as to what fans of this #1 American Show is to the notion of Howard Stern serving as a judge.

What say you?

In the spirit of full disclosure, I really like Howard Stern, subscribe to both Sirius and XM, but as I stated above, do not have TV and have never seen American Idol.

Are Howard's arrogant fantasies just that?

I look forward to evaluating any input here.

Thanks in advance. I know this is not a life or death issue.

2. Is he coming on as a judge?
I enjoy Idol. I don't want to see Stern on it. He has a way different "audience" IMO. x(

4. I think the show's slowly dying no matter what.
I've watched "Idol" fairly regularly since the middle of the first season in the summer of 2002. Despite the show's pretty strong ratings I think it's slowly on it's way out. This year is particularly boring, in fact I didn't watch it at all last week. I think it's on the downslope of its trajectory and it's only a matter of time until the big announcement that it was cancelled by F Fox. It may be a long, slow demise, like a blimp with a leak slowly deflating, but I believe it's already started. Having Howard Stern on the show won't stop that from happening, in fact I would guess that it would speed up the show's demise slightly. Just my opinion.

5. SImon Cowell is a jerk but he seems to know what he's about.
Howard Stern is just a smarmy, deliberately offensive ass.
