X-box Vs Gamecube Vs PS2
I was thinking about getting a gamecube recently. But there seem to be so many more good games on the PS2. And the X-box looks like its coming along.
However, I have one question...are there any games on the x-box or PS2 that are similar to Mario Kart, Mario Party and F-Zero? Those are the three main reasons I want to get a console, but if they already have something similar on the other systems....I'd rather get a PS2 or x-box instead.

many many thanks.

1. I've not really evaluated them yet
But I'm already leaning to the Gamecube, because you can use the GBA for a controller, and also play GBA games on the tv.

Plus, I loves me some Mario.

2. Consider this:
I know for a fact that there's a new F-Zero game coming out for GameCube in the relatively near future. There might be another Mario Party, and I also THINK there's another Mario Kart game coming out for GC.

However, I know XBox has a Mario Party-esque game, and there are probably plenty of solid racers on that console.

There are a lot of solid racing games on the PS2, as well (Midnight Club II and so on). Plus, it's got Dynasty Warriors (great fun) and Vice City.

Any questions? Feel free to respond; I love talking about this stuff.

4. awesome
can you tell me about some Mario Party esque games on the x-box?
Also...is there any racer out there that is similar to F-Zero? Something with a great frame rate and seems very fast?
thanks again...

5. I can't remember what
the XBox Mario Party game was. Go look around your local Blockbuster, they probably have it.

As for high-speed racers, I honestly haven't been keeping up with it much (although I have enough to know about the new FZero game :-) ). Again, browse a little; Amazon.com, Blockbuster...

Sorry I couldn't be of much help this time around.

I have a Playstation 2 and a Gamecube. My fiancee and I love the wide selection of Playstation games, but we also love the Gamecube games that you can't get for other systems. Keep in mind that Gamecube has a lot of games coming out in the next 6 months-year. Check the Nintendo website, they have lists of upcoming games.

Also, if you get the Playstation 2, you'll miss out on the upcoming, sure-to-be incredible Mario 128!

6. Every Console Has It's Strengths And Weaknesses.
IMHO, YMMV

For the widest selection of games the PS2 is the current choice. For sheer graphical and audio capabilities, the XBox is the champ. For a wide selection of games for a younger audience along (with a few stellar titles for the older crowd) the game cube is the way to go. I have played with all three and prefer and own an XBox. With few exceptions, the XBox version of a game released for multiple consoles usually scores higher(est) of the three.
