4. a lil homesick lately ....me too
Southwestern Wisconsin, the driftless area-one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Madison, an urban area that knows what community means.

People who haven't lived there just don't understand.

5. I went to school in Madison. Greatest little city in the world. Mecca
of democratic thought and expression. Wisconsin cheddar burgers and brats are the best.

8. Winters in Wisconsin ain't what they used to be
Used to be cold and snowy at the end of April.
Northern areas did not see sixty degrees until June.
That has all changed to where we are
down from an average six months of winter weather
to about two months.

We are looking at high 50's, maybe 60 for next week.
I'll be canoing or playing tennis.
Unheard of years ago.

10. Don't laugh but.....my goal is to one day live in Wisconsin.
I really love Madison. And SW Wisconsin is heaven on earth.

Perhaps some day, I'll have enough $$$ stashed away and I'll only need to work in the Summer, part-time, in the Dells, driving a Duck.

Then at night, I could play in a rock-polka band, like Brave Combo.

That would be perfect.

11. I'm not laughing ... I miss it like crazy !!

Grew up in Green Bay, a stone's throw from the water ... trees, wildlife, seasons, people who generally KNOW how to drive ...
went to a UW school with intelligent liberals and progressives ...

and now I'm in Indy, trying to come up with a plan to move to Madison within the next 18 months.
