11. in the face of adversity
Edited on Wed Mar-24-04 03:10 PM by cosmicdot
Having been there, ... it's true ...

This is one of the charges that the corporation always makes against the whistle-blower: well, he's angry, he hates the company, he has a grudge ...

... Anger is not necessarily born out of hatred, selfishness, and aggression. It is also born out of our better natures - out of love and compassion for those who are being hurt, out of despair and grief in the face of suffering that is unjust and unnecessary ...

when one's integrity is in question, and the system and those who control it are corrupt ... and when one sees the bigger picture; and, the dangerous and sad consequences of the actions of pseudo-leaders, people abusing their authority and those around them -- and seeing the consequences on, not just the whistle blower, but society as a whole ... anger can help give one courage in the face of adversity
