40. They really are. This was my first experience.

Some roll over on their bellies like puppies for you to pet them. :) I was in an area that has literally hundreds this time of year. It's a spring fed river so it stays warm year round and they hang out there this time of year when the Gulf gets too chilly. It was AMAZING.

One of the coolest things I saw was the day we were just out on a pontoon boat looking. There was a lady in a kayak riding along the bank about 50 feet from us. We were watching her and her husband as they gazed in awe when all of the sudden I heard WHOOOOOOOOOOOOSH... and a wake just beneath her lifted her kayak about 3 feet in the air. She SCREAMED and I screamed right along with her. When it settleed after a moment I asked my friend, "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!?!? LOCH NESS!?!?" He said that it was a dolphin that she rode right over and spooked. A. Mazing.

I then insisted that I see dolphins. Sadly the weather was not cooperative and I didn't get out to see them so I have to go back. :)
