5. Couldn't hurt to let the mods know in advance...
...and install a different browser for each username (for easy automated login), but I doubt that the mods would care that multiple users regularly post from the same IP address.

9. They don't ban for two accounts from one IP or whatever.
My experience is that even on websites that keep track of that automatically, mods will PM or email for clarification before assuming two accounts on the same network or computer are duplicates.

I've used my account on at least two other DUers home networks, no problem. Likewise, I think at least one has checked their service on my laptop, and I've used somebody else's entirely.

11. Hubs and I are both Duers
but we never mentioned it to anyone that there were two accounts in one household. That was a long time ago, maybe they weren't checking for that kind of thing back then?

12. From the rules:
"Members are not permitted to have more than one account on Democratic Underground."

and

"If you have been banned from Democratic Underground, you are not permitted to log on again using a different username. Previously banned members will be immediately banned, regardless of behavior."

In other words, your son can create an account. That would be fine, but don't create a second account for yourself. I think there are several posters who have family members with their own accounts who post here.
