3. Old news, alas!
It was widely discussed here about a week ago.

The thingy looked like a seed of some kind that sprouted -- and then it blew away. NASA assigned a tech specialist to keep track of it.

There's a lot of interesting rocks, though, that still defy explanation. It is my unscientific hope that some of these turn out to be fossils.
