3. I'm always amazed at the errors I see when I'm reading.

4. Yeah, and I've noticed books aren't proofread well any more either.

So many run on sentences, wrong words probably substituted by MS Word, etc.

I don't get it why, with the job market so soft, any publisher can't/won't find GOOD proofreaders.

Unfortunately, I see errors in my local paper daily. No such thing as an editor in print media, it seems.
