12. I dunno. I don't recall anything terrible on that show...
...unless maybe it was in the last season or two, when I wasn't paying much attention?

I'd give X-Files the top spot as science fiction. They consistently kept it grounded in science (with occasional forays into pure fantasy), and the writing and acting were stellar.

I'm rewatching the series now on Syfy. I don't like pimping Fox, but honor demands I admit the excellence of this show, which is still impressive after all these years.

18. Firefly was awesome and died too quickly.
Joss Whedon could've done for space opera what he did for vampires.

As a kid, I didn't think much of the Twilight Zone. I've started rewatching it as an adult and appreciate it much more.
Torchwood: Children of Earth

Does Lost count as sci-fi?

14. Highlander: The Series
I'm a big fan of the television series. I never liked the movies, but the television series was pretty awesome, including the "eye candy" of Adrian Paul!!!

There can be only one!!

15. Babylon 5, no contest.
Don't get me wrong. I love Star Trek. But B5 wa not only the best sci-fi series ever, it might be the best television series ever.

Go out get seasons 1 thru 5 right now if you don't agree. Watch it all within a month. You'll wind up agreeing with me.
