1. Cat Check:
Milo is in his heated cat bed, not napping but just resting. Jeoffry is on his padded windowsill perch, waiting for the sun to come up and the birds to arrive. Pixie is running around the living room chasing a crinkly foil ball.

whether her knitting is too tidy. Sometimes her knitting needs to strung from one end of the house to the other, and he's always looking out for her best interests. :hi:

10. One just climbed into her little box on the window seat.
I think I'll open the shade so she can peer out.

One just jumped onto the couch in the other room and is settling her furry self down. The third is probably upstairs, asleep on my bed where she spends most of the daytime hours. Kittehs!

14. They're in sleeping zone 3.
Normally at this time they would be in sleeping zone 2, but because it's pouring rain it's not warm enough over there.

The inconvenience is not forgiven.

15. My cat was caught with his face in the waste basket
Maximus has a habit of picking waste baskets looking for trash I throw out so he can use them for cat toys. I had to stop using the small waste can and use a bigger one, but that doesn't stop him from raiding the rubbish.

19. The woodstove is roaring
Therefore the kittehs are as close to is as possible without setting their fur on fire. However, the little part-Persian pisspot has defied expectations and has momentarily left the basket that is 8 inches from the woodstove, as MG Jr. has just finished a bagel and she wants the butter drippings off the plate. (Ew.) However, Jasmine the Lardass is on the corner of the area rug that is closest to the hearth. She has just completed the arduous task of licking her ass and is now resting from the effort. Life is good.

38. They're eating treats
When I went downstairs to check on them, Huckleberry was lounging on the living room couch and Tom had just jumped down from the kitchen counter, where he is not allowed to be and he knows it. He started asking for treats so I gave them both treats. There was nothing else I could do.

39. I am jealous -- I love kitties.
I love my doggie too. I have been trying to convince my husband to get a cat. We had a cat -- my fave orange kitty Linus -- before our dog and I miss him (he died). My husband is worried about our dog Abraham getting along with cat (honestly the cat taking to Abraham is the worry). What do you all think or what experiences do you have? Is there a method for the cat, dog introduction? Abraham is almost 2 and a boxer. He is extremely attached to us (no separation anxiety or anything) -- he sleeps with us, cuddles with us, eats with us etc... I think a new kitty would be good for him but my husband thinks a cat will beat him up (Abraham is a sweet, sweet dog).

45. Day 2: The Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger is
upstairs asleep on his bed, conveniently situated at window level with a 180°-view of the bird feeding station, on top of a fluffy shearling and covered by a toasty lightweight fleece blanket. His life is a good one. However, Call Me Wesley is making ham for dinner so I expect I soon will be called upon to prepare a "baby plate."

that she's sleeping on my bed, curled up on my fluffy bathrobe. That's where she was when I left and she's content to sleep there for hours at a time.
