It's prob been asked a million times, but do you like your iPhone?
and more importantly how is the call quality?

My Motorola Razr is dying and needs to be replaced. I am also stuck with ATT because my family, SO, and others have it and I like their customer service so far.

I am looking for a new phone through ATT and I lie the toys that the iPhone has and I want one, but more importantly, I want a phone with good call quality.

1. All of the iPhone/clone things are too fucking big to be "phones".
I like a nice clamshell where bumping up against something won't accidentally call the Pope or something. If you want good call quality, get a Motorola or Samsung. Stay the HELL away from Nokia.

4. I've had great luck with Motorola and recently got a Samsung (different purpose).
My three daughters all have Samsungs. My biggest complaint with ALL phones is that the chargers aren't standard. The four Samsung phones use 3 different chargers between them. My Motorola has the dumbest fucking connector I've ever seen, but my wife's (bought at the same time) has a simple jack like you use for a netbook. Why the HELL can't they just standardize the entire damn industry on one charger tip like that?

5. universal charger tip is on the way
Under the agreement, manufacturers would start using micro-USB connections for phone chargers used for smartphones. Apple joins other big cell phone makers including LG, Motorola, Nokia, Research In Motion, Samsung and Sony Ericsson in agreeing to the new standard. Chipset makers, such as NEC, Qualcomm and Texas Instruments have also agreed to the deal.

In February the GSMA, a trade association for mobile carriers using GSM technology, said it had brokered a deal with handset makers to get the micro-USB technology into cell phone chargers by 2012. And the CTIA, the U.S. wireless trade association, backed the standard in April of this year

8. Yeah, I knew they were making noise about it - but that's only European.
I assume they'll make AC and car chargers as well. We'll have to see how long it takes it to become a standard in the US.

3. So far, so good
I had some Samsung thing that replaced my Razor, but it was horrible. I was blaming the network. So far, I've had no dropped calls with the iPhone, and the call quality seems good. And it has a speakerphone feature that actually works.

What I don't like is the cost of the dataplan. I've been using the redlaser app to try to save at least the cost of the plan per month. I have $5 left to go for this month.

6. I've had my iPhone for more than a year now. _LOVE_ it.
It was a gift from Call Me Wesley and The Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger, who were annoyed when I traveled for business and was unable to figure out how to send/receive text/messages and check my voicemails from them on my fancy-schmancy Nokia cell phone. Excellent call quality on my iPhone, plus tons more bells and whistles than the Nokia offered (and easier to use than the Nokia, too).

7. I love my iphone.
Call quality is the best of any cell phone I have yet. AND despite Verizon's advertising blitz, I can get reception in a lot of different places, even sometimes where other people can't...

9. Love it
I have a 1st generation iphone and I got my wife a 3g for Christmas. I don't have internet service at home or at my travel trailer I keep near work so it's the perfect "on the go" internet solution. So far I have no complaints about call quality, it's as good as my razr was as far as I can tell.

Love it, love it, love it.

Edited to add -- but you MAY want to look into the new Google phone if you can wait. It's unlocked and could be yummy!
