Oxy and other artificial opiates. Young guy, under 30, 2 kids, recently married. He is smart enough to have caught it early enough I think, tried to stop on his own and became violently ill.

Pick him up this book...true story...short and to the point. Have A Little Faith by Mitch Albom. Just finished it and it is wonderful. Very inspiring and will certainly make you THINK.

15. sorry if i`m not offering anything really positive.

but over the last 40 yrs i`ve seen some live and some die on their long journey. there`s nothing worse than watching a friend or a loved one being consumed by the demons in their mind. all you and i can do is take their hand if they reach out to us.

he`s young,has kids,and a wife that loves him. with them and his friends walking by his side his journey not be hard and long. i hope that your friend reaches out to those around him and that he finds his inner peace.

17. Small world. My 18 year old goddaughter goes in to rehab tomorrow, New Year's Day,

for alcohol use as well as the DU god. Only found out yesterday when they called and said they have room, so come or wait. She's a bit nervous and her 20 year old brother who is home from the Army for Christmas goes back on Sunday and in March he goes to Germany so she might not see him again for a long time.

She has had a terrible year after having a psychotic breakdown after Christmas in 2008 and being hospitalized 13 different times in the psych wards of 7 different hospitals this past year. It put her mother tens of thousands of dollars in debt because in June her insurance company notified her that she had used up her ration of mental health care for the year.

So best wishes to all who are in rehab.
