SO do you have any new years resolutions? Mine is to be more positive
this year.

2009 was pretty crappy for us but I vow to be more positive no matter what God throws our way this next year. I am told he never gives us more than we can handle, so I must be stronger than I know.

I also am going to 100% stop smoking!!!

what is yours!

1. Hey, go for it.
So far my resolutions are to get a handle on the clutter at home and to finish a couple of projects I started (Notice a theme here?).

2.  My goal is the same.
I missed the neat gene but I am tired of cleaning up a mess I made.

I have everything ready to go, a new storage unit and some clear plastic boxes.

I will be neat this year, if nothing else.

So I broke it down into little ones.

Read a book a week.
Exercise
Juicing as a way of life ( got all the stuff I need for xmas)
meditate daily
work on driving phobia

7. Mine is to be more positive too because 2009 was really bad...
Also, I'm committing myself to meditate everyday.

15. Yeah, I love the built in hypocrisy. Much more efficient.
It saves the time over the regular kind of resolution for which you must wait until you break it to see the hypocrisy.

6. yes. One is a continuation of last year's, which is to not take any bullshit
I was doing well with it, then must have forgotten it at the last minute or something, so it's back on the board. The other is to quit smoking - I was always alight/social/drinking smoker, but even those gross me out. In the past month I've had maybe 2 packs, and most of that was around my birthday (and getting dumped, but I digress). I've had 4 in the past week and I may not even bother buying a pack for tomorrow night. I'm just over them for the most part and now when I have one or two even, I feel like crap the next day. Blech.

As for other stuff, yeah I'll probably try to be more active looking for musicians to play with, and possibly doing more freelance work so I have spending cash.

Anyway. Looking forward to the new year!

10. SE Alaska, it has been over 5yrs since
I've seen my beloved home town, and its been wearing on me lately that I haven't seen my family, or friends for that long.

I'm hoping to drive to Bellingham, and take the AMH back home sometime this summer. My wife is trying to talk me into going to Metropolis, Illinois but I'd rather see home.

13. not sure yet
Hi,
Good luck with yours. I like the positivity vibe and I think I will try that. I saw others posting about reading more, I did that one once and several others mentioned. I guess there should be a renewal of previous resolutions to keep them going through the next year. At this point I only have one, to not go to my colleague at work for help as much as I have in the past. Interesting post and comments, thanks!

Peace

P.S. Good luck with the smoking, you can do it!

14. thanks. Usually I am a glass half full type of person
but this year beat me down pretty good and I got pretty snippy and negative

I am going to reverse that!

I had 13 days of not smoking when I was in the hospital. I didn't even miss it or have cravings (of course for the first week, I was pretty out of it) but the minute I got out and into my Jeep, I lit right up and boom...

I am going to do it starting Jan 1st!!!

16. A positive attitude won't do you any good, but it will aggravate enough
people to make it worthwhile.
Hey, somebody has to look at the downside.
If they ask, "what could possibly go wrong", I have to be honest and answer.

19. Stop stress-eating.
Lose some weight and get back into my clothes. I can't afford to buy new, bigger ones. And, my hips are killing me from toting around the extra tonnage.
