By the next album, 1978's "Living In The USA," the formula began to wear thin. I'd call 1969 the beginning of the ascent and 1977 the absolute peak.

Key words here are "consistently great"...she produced great music AFTER 1977, with some hits and misses, but that 69-77 period is STILL the best.
