2. I married a woman that breaks little pieces off a chocolate bar and saves the rest for later
Any chocolate heathen knows that chocolate is best gorged entirely, and as fast as possible.

12. Absolutely, but I'm conflicted
I mentioned the looming threat and she says she would rather send the chocolate to our boys serving overseas. Says she'll purchase a flat rate box as you suggested to her on another thread, and fill it with all the chocolate goodies we could be sharing and send it out. This dumb-assed draftee veteran deserves consideration, but our servicemen do, too. I'm torn.

Perhaps I should cut everything in half and share with them, including the Hershey kisses. I'm conflicted.

if you're gonna send chocolate to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, do it quickly - the window for sending chocolate or anything that melts is very, very small :D

19. Maybe I'll send a ton of Slim Jims® and keep the chocolate for myself
that is, if I can just find her hidden stash of chocolate.

7. Funny you should ask.
I don't cut Hershey Kisses before eating, but I did cut up some left over Kisses the other day and added them to my chocolate chips and nuts for my Ultimate/Best Ever Chocolate Chip cookies. Those cookies are dad-gum good! Even my daughter says they are and she is my biggest critic. ;)

9. I can understand somewhat.
Every now and then, I'll cut a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup into 4 pieces and eat each one separately. It reminds me of a very small chocolate pie. With peanut butter.

When we were kids, sometimes we'd take 10 or so nibbles at getting through a single cookie, just to savor it. Probably because we always had a 3-cookie limit.

And our default phrase..."I take little bites".

13. knew a guy who liked to put his chocolate kisses in the freezer
His wife got him a 16 oz Hersheys Kiss for Christmas one year. He put it in the freezer. Wife suggested that might not be a good idea.

He almost cut a finger off trying to cut a slice off that Kiss. And he put it back in the freezer after he finally got a bit of chocolate to munch.

Should have divorced the idiot sooner than I did.

17. I do, but only because
my Mom has difficulty swallowing and to give her a whole one would introduce a danger of choking. So I cut it up (and all chocolate) into small pieces, just for safety. That way she can still enjoy chocolate without a risk of choking.

21. Have you noticed Kisses are smaller than they used to be?
I had not bought or even seen Hershey's Kisses in a long time (many years). Recently I noticed bags of the Dark Chocolate kind at the market and bought some to try. Are they a lot smaller than the ones I remember as a kid?

22. Lapse of judgement here...I gave 100 H kisses to a 4 yr old this Christmas
In her case, I probably should have sliced the Kisses as well.
Why? I was giving her mom and her older sisters "Kisses kits" and was keeping everything equal. In hindsight, maybe it was not such a good idea.

23. Mr. Brickbat's grandma had a cousin who would cut a fun-size candy bar into pieces and eat just one.
She was way, way cheap.

26. Funny you should ask. Another DUer and I just shared a giant Hershey's Kiss, cut it in half.

Not so much in half, it broke up on one side, but I was trying to cut it in half.

Sharing the kiss!
