Vintage Holiday Cheer from 1927 and 1938

Just posted -- a 1938 aircheck of the "Hallelujah" Chorus from Handel's Messiah performed by the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra and Tonkunstkoor conducted by Willem Mengelberg (click here).

Recovered from the YouTube memory hole -- one of the earliest electrical recordings of yuletide music, the English Singers' recording of the Gloucestershire Wassail Song (arranged by Ralph Vaughan Williams -- click here).
