Facebook is going to start charging?
I hear these rumors from time to time. What a crock, they draw you in providing a free service then when they get big numbers they pull the rug out from under everybody. I won't use it anymore if they start charging. The only thing I would miss is storing photos on my account. Facebook = crack dealers.

7. I only have 5 or so high school friends on Facebook.
They're all conservative except for maybe 1. And I doubt that she's political. Most of her posts are about TV shows.

10. That happened to you too, huh?
People that I used to look up to and respect for their fine minds are parroting bizarro Beckspeak and "fanning" Sarah Palin. WTF happened? I feel like the little kid in "Invaders from Mars".

12. Same here
I set up my account and added current friends. Thing is, they all shared by ideological beliefs, which I thought was kinda boring. So, I added a bunch of my old fraternity brothers and high school classmates, many of them hardcore wingers and Palin disciples. I like it, as it adds a little spice and much-needed variety. Now it's fun!

In a country of 300 million people, I realize and respect that we disagree on many things. But I don't let simple beliefs get in the way of friendship.

3. And I am a senior partner (Attorney) in the firm of Emmanuel Consults Inc: Private Investigators,

This investigation involves a client who shares the same surname with you and also the circumstances surrounding investments made by this client at ADB Gold Account, the Private Banking arm of ADB. The ADB Private Banking client died intestate and nominated no successor in title over the investments made with the bank amounting to over US9.5 Million.

You are therefore being contacted to be legally nominated as next of kin(inheritor) to this client after all enquiries and investigation has yielded results showing that there is no known next of kin. You are required therefore to answer this questions to enable us make our recommendation.

1-Are you aware of any relative/relation born on the 2nd of February 1951, who shares your same name whose last known contact address was West Africa?

2-Are you aware of any investment of considerable value made by such a person at the Private Banking Division of ADB Bank PLC?

3-Can you confirm your willingness to accept this inheritance if you are legally and legitimately nominated and approved to stand as inheritor to this huge investment in regards to the bank account with ADB?

4-Would you agree to donate part of this inheritance to charity if you are officially approved to stand as the inheritor? It is pertinent that you inform us ASAP whether or not you are familiar with this personality or and your interest towards the issues mentioned.

You must appreciate that we are constrained from providing you with more detailed information at this point. Please respond to this mail as soon as possible to afford us the opportunity to provide you with more information on this investigation and recommendation.

6. Dear Mr. Emmanuel,
Thank you for your kind letter. Yes, I am quite familiar with my long-lost uncle Harlan. He moved to West Africa to bring my family's famous fried chicken to the indigenous peoples of Africa. Unfortunately, we never heard from him again. The family rumor was he'd been eaten by cannibals who didn't know what to make of fried chicken, but we were never sure. It's good to hear he got rich.

1. Yes. My uncle, Harlan Sanders, was born on the 2nd of February 1951. Before he entered the food business for himself he was a very important officer of our nation's military, so you may have heard of him as Colonel Sanders. We kept telling him you don't keep your rank after you're thrown out of the Army in a scandal involving stealing shipments of eleven herbs and spices, but he never would listen.

2. His chicken was very popular among Africans, so we knew he deposited a large sum of money somewhere. But the family legend was he really deposited $41.9 million. You say it was only $9.5 million? I think you have a swindler working in your bank. Check his account balance again.

3. Yes, I'll accept the inheritance. Why wouldn't I? It was our family's secret recipe that allowed him to earn it--a recipe created by our favorite grandfather, Harlan "General" Sanders. Our cousin Harlan "Floor" Sanders wrote this recipe down after listening to Grandfather talk about charging up San Juan Hill, sword in his right hand, bucket of chicken in his left. For some reason he never would discuss his wartime service unless we let him drink a whole bottle of Kentucky Bourbon. We very rarely let him drink bourbon for just this reason--General Sanders was left-handed and would have never carried a sword in his right hand.

4. Would I donate some of it to charity? Certainly. I'll donate $419,000 to a special fund set up by Mr. Michael Aondoakaa to catch the lowlifes and scum who are destroying your fine country.

Again, thank you for letting me know of my good fortune.

13. They won't start charging....instead there will be more and more and more advertising....
until it's like Myspace and you can't even log on without watching a commercial for some new movie or something, and the entire page is literally FULL of ads.

It's tough for companies like Facebook who create a great product but have absolutely no idea how to make money with it. I was very surprised when they were profitable in a recent quarter but it won't keep up as the economy recovers they will become less profitable again.

14. Some of the Facebook apps charge
such as Farmville, Petville, etc., but only if you want to buy more coins to reach higher levels faster.
