A sad story for Christmas

I feel for the Father in this story, since one of my relatives is going through something similar.

One of my relatives married a man who was a reform Jew.
A couple years into the marriage, he converted to Orthodox Jew, and when my relative wouldn't convert, he went to regularly beating her.

They divorced, and he lost custody of their two girls.
But during a custodial visit, he disappeared, he finally reappeared in Israel, and he and his relatives there refuse to even let my relative see her now-tween girls.

Our courts have ordered the girls returned, but the guy and his relatives refuse to, and Israeli courts are playing the same games the courts in Brazil are playing with this guy.

So he'll be without his son for yet another Christmas, the same way my relative is.

So I feel for this guy, my relative, and any other parent who can't be with their children due to politics, religion, nationalism, whatever separates them.
