when I was writing Beat 13 I had all kinds of e-mail, snail mail, and calls from people threatening me (more often) challenging my positions (less often). In the case of the first option I did nothing and never bothered being afraid, in the second, I grew very tired of arguing with people who had NO GRASP of the world outside Freeperland.

They were actually talking for quite some time and it did catch the attention of several people. It was funny when one guy stopped and said, "Which is it?" They both thrust out their signs and said she was.

Thanks for the compliment on the photos. I purposely didn't carry a sign or wear any buttons so that I could move in and out of the crowd for better positions. The cops won't let you cross the line if they think you're a protester.

I think I shot nearly 170 pics. Thank goodness for digital media.
