Somebody has hijacked my screen name
on instant messanger. First I get this message saying I am logged on in two different places. Then my friends tell me that someone on my screen name has been going around calling them "faggots", or various other repulsive shit.

It's annoying the hell out of me because I'm going to be apologizing to a lot of people. For offending them. When I didn't even do anything.

ARRRRG!!!:argh:

5. If you're an AOL member,
log in immediately and change your password. If you can't get in, there is a number in the "help" index which you need to call for security. Once they verify your ID, they immediately change your password and get you back in.

If someone has "cloned" you, it means they have either substituted a capital "i" for an "l" or a "1" (one) instead. They aren't in your account, but they are making it difficult for people to know the truth. I don't know if security can do much about clones, but they might if you tell them what's going on.

Change it immediately, because otherwise you're going to be SOOL.

8. This shit happens
If you used your AIM screenname on somebody else's computer and accidentally saved the password (this is default) then they could've kept logging onto your account.

This was probably a public computer (the library for example perhaps).
