When I went to college in Norfolk VA back in the late 80's, I acted in 2 plays with another actor named Jay Ross.

Jay had a brief speaking role in "Forrest Gump". He played the anti-war protestor in D.C. who escorted Tom Hanks from the bus to the stage and urged him to speak.

Tom Hanks starred with Kevin Bacon in "Apollo 13".


Jay was a good guy. While going to school and acting whenever he could, he worked as a bartender at the restaurant my sister managed. I was hoping his cameo in "Forrest Gump" would open some more doors, but I haven't seem him do anything else in film.
