Meteor Alert!
Find a dark place and look towards Leo tonite as Earth passes through the trail of Comet Temple-Tuttle. This year is a 33-year cycle of enhanced activity as Earth brushes a 62,000-mile-wide debris corridor left behind in 1467 and 1533. + Mars passes through the radiant, so it might look like Leonids are shooting out of the Red Planet! Bestviewed between 3am and dawn in the U.S.

3. Leonids. Yes, I never really concentrated on seeing those things,
but I have seen them. Leonids or shooting stars, at certain times? Or random times?
Sail boating is one easy way to see them. And once, I was driving thru' Hollywood, and there was a huge one. Ah well, stars in Hollywood, I thought, no big deal.
But it was on the news, about all the calls they had about it, etc.

10. Doubt it. I have a whole series of astronomical busts here in Corpus. It's like
all the clouds and fog within 1,500 miles have heard how clear the view is over Corpus Christi, so they all come here to watch the show whenever there's something astronomically significant going on. :(
