You should move to Washington. It looks like Referendum 71, upholding the state's domestic partnership laws, is going to pass. Maybe someday, we can stop putting civil rights up for a majority vote... :-(

Early returns:
WA Referendum 71 (Expand Domestic Partners)
Yes 51.95%
No 48.05%

8. I hope the yes votes keep coming in faster than the no votes.
If it passes, Washington still falls short of full rights for gays, but it IS a big step in the right direction. If this sticks, then we keep fighting for full rights. I think we will get there one day.
