2. Seen your three, also The Haunting and The Innocents.
Highly recommend The Innocents - very subtle and surreal.

Now to see if Netflix has the rest.

I strongly recommend "Night of the Demon", "The Haunting", "The Innocents" and "Dead of Night".

4. Nice list
I've only seen a few of them, but it's nice to see The Changeling in there. And no one can argue with The Exorcist and Psycho. (And while The Shining wasn't as true to the book as King would have likes - hence the remake a few years ago - I thought the Nicholson version was terrific.)

The Changling, The Entity, Phsyco, The Exorsist, The Shining.


I had heard Tina Brown interviewed on NPR this morning about his and meant to look it up and forgot. So thanx for posting.

6. Dead Of Night is my all time favorite.
I saw it as a little kid and it scared the crap out of me, causing many nightmares. Some of the images are incredibly powerful and have been imitated many, many times (the ventriloquist dummy, the deja vu ending).
