6. it might be worth it just to save yourself the extra work tomorrow
i moved into an apartment this summer and i gave away my snow shovel. i'm really regretting that now because i can't get onto my back deck and the stairs are treacherous.

17. Just finished shoveling...
Y'know that great feeling you get after working really hard, and you can see that you really made a big difference? Yeah, I don't have that feeling right now.

7. A foot and a half of snow in Colorado at 7500 feet
Edited on Wed Oct-28-09 04:44 PM by janx
isn't really amazing, believe it or not! ;-) I remember three feet of snow at 5400 feet of elevation on one occasion. The wonderful thing about the climate in Colorado, though, is that often large amounts of snow melt quickly because of the strong sun there.

11. It's only slightly crazier than here in NM.
 It's great!

There are people in Colorado who ski/board in T-shirts in the spring. There's still a lot of great snow, but the sun is strong. They have to wear a lot of sunscreen.

This is the reason so many tourists go to Colorado to ski, but the major ski resorts are now awful due to the crowds.

13. Gaston county.
About 15 minutes from SC line. We only get a good storm around here if a cold blast goes down to Georgia and travels up the I-85 corridor. When it does though we get a few feet.

14. This one looks like Marie Antoinette's hair with Joan Crawford's shoulders.
But it's posed like Charles DeGaulle.

I'm staying the night at my mom and dad's house in Boulder as opposed to commuting into town from Longmont. Damn snow.
