PHOTOS of the fall foliage of Shenandoah National Park (MAJOR DIALUP WARNING)
Earlier last week I saw that Sunday was supposed to be beautiful so I get a bunch of people to come hiking on Old Rag Mountain in Shenandoah National Park. I managed to take lots of pics, some of the views were spectactular.

2. you're welcome
I had never seen autumn in the Shenandoahan valley and jumped at the opportunity with the great weather.

Really, the pictures don't do the views justice, it was stunning!

Glad you enjoyed them though! :hi:

3. My dear charlie and algernon!
Ah, these are wonderful!

We just do not get colors like this here near the coast...

I esp. loved the one with the bird in flight, and your silhouette!

Thank you for sharing!

4. Beautiful photos.
The week before this last year, I visited friends who live in Virginia. They took me down part of Skyline Drive one day, then came back north through the Shenandoah Valley and back over the mountains again. Absolutely gorgeous scenery.

5. I didn't get it in any of the pics, but you could see the Skyline Drive from the mountain
One of these days I'll do that drive too. That must've been really cool as well.

I'm surprised the fall colors are that far south already.
