Which web browser(s) do you use?
Edited on Wed Oct-21-09 11:42 AM by BolivarianHero
My primary web browser is FireFox, but I occasionally load poorly-coded web page in IE8 via the IETabs extension and I have Chrome installed but prefer not to use it because I like my extensions.

1. I use the portable version of FireFox at work.
I have it on a network drive and can use it on any computer and have the same settings and whatnot.

2. Firefox and IE6
Firefox is quicker for most things I think. But it doesn't work as well as IE6 with my NASCAR Raceview. And I have to have my Audio and Video of the Biff.

6. What about IE7 or IE8?
6 is a huge albatross of insecurity...Or you can install IETabs and use the IE engine within FireFox.

And leave it to NASCAR to sloppily code a webpage.

27. 7 or 8 isn't really any more secure
M$ just tries to to convince you it is.
90+% of the infected computers I see have Internet ExploDer on them only.
I just had two yesterday with IE8 and major infections.

8. I write internet apps...
so i write everything for FireFox first and then test in IE6-8, and Safari.

I designed a special framework to inject code exclusively for IE :puke:

9. You have to write for IE6?
Does your boss make you, do you cater to outdated corporate information systems, or do you like coding for morans?

10. Firefox/Safari
My eMac is growing old, so more and more pages aren't loading. So I move another bookmark over to Firefox. But it still works fine for everything else, so I can't justify a new computer.

20. Opera 10
Been a user of Opera all the way back to release 3.5, back when you had to pay for it ;) It was worth it then and still is now, even though they went free and open source some years ago. They started the idea of tabbed windows, too :D

23. Something based on NCSA Mosaic. My employers foister it on us.
Actually it's IE 6 - and they've been talking about upgrading to IE7 for some time but budget cuts have put that aside. Heck, we only upgraded to Windows XP two years ago!

And yes, this is a Fortune 100 company.

Mark.
