Am I getting broody?

Our neighbors brought home their newborn baby a few days ago. I only knew this because the baby is in the room directly next to our bedroom and I heard him/her crying the other morning. I was nervous about the impending birth of this child and the ensuing crying but I actually love to hear this baby crying! It sounds like a little sheep baaaaaing for its mommy.

I want to buy them a present and card but most of all I want to get my eyes on this little worm and maybe hold it if they will let me.

What the fuck's wrong with me?????

1. If you are friends with your neighbors, you could volunteer to watch the baby while they sleep.

That is , assuming you are friends with them and they would trust you.

My first 2 months with my daughter after the sleepless nights I was beginning to have time just to take a short nap.

I've only exchanged greetings with them in the hallway. I still want to get them a present and card. Maybe they will be touched enough to let the crazy American woman lay eyes on their little precious lamb.

3. There's nothing wrong with being broody.

I occasionally get the urge to hold a baby. I just love that new baby smell, and I will seldom pass up the chance to hold one of the little buggers. I'm always happier to hand them back, though. A little bit of baby goes a long way with me. :)

and a cuddle maybe my broodiness will go away?

I really think this baby and mother are sending out some serious hormone vibes though cause I'm getting all sappy and shit. I may need a surrogate mother. No way in hell I'm going through that myself.

it starts crying louder and more frequently. Newborn babies haven't reached their full potential in the crying department yet.
