I swear I have swine flu
Edited on Mon Oct-19-09 08:44 PM by lifesbeautifulmagic
fever running 100-102 for past 3 days
extremely sore throat
body aches, feel like i feel I have been run over by a truck
no appetite at all (:) maybe I will drop some poundage)
slightly runny nose

but this is a weird flu, no vomiting at all. In a sense, it is the easiest flu I have ever had. :)

Gah, i just want this over with.
Just venting here.

If anyone is keeping track, I am in the Enumclaw/Buckley area of the PNW, and I probably picked it up at the community college where I am taking some classes.

I don't think I will be going to the doc unless this gets worse, or hangs on for much longer.

1. I know exactly how you feel.
I've had the same flu since last Tuesday, ditto on the feeling like I've been run over by a truck.

2. Influenza is a pulmonary disease...
and with this H1N1 the gastrointestinal symptoms are not common. Frequently winter illnesses get called "flu" when in fact they are something else. The high fever, hit by truck is pretty much the clinical picture. If you have no worsening no doc needed, past the window for Tamiflu, if they'd consider giving it at all since its getting very hard to get.

3. You probably do.
I've read that most illnesses that have a high fever are most likely H1N1.

My daughter had an illness w/ a 103.6 temp. I think she had it. Hopefully she's immune now.

4. Hope it passes quick. I'm stating to feel it too, hope I'm wrong

but I think I'm a prime candidate, work in a hospital and go to school.
